Summer Singles Competition 2010
Summer singles competitions started on Monday 8th Feb, this is the first time we are running this comp and hopefully the rain stays away.
Monday, Wednesday & Thursday nights
STARTING TIMES
All matches will commence at 7:00pm.
Hit up times are 15 minutes prior to start. No hit up is allowed after each player has played one set.
PLAYING FEES
Ball Fees : $10 per night - on arrival, please place $10 in your Team's envelope and write your name and the amount on the envelope. Please ensure all fees have been paid and the total amount is recorded on the envelope and then placed in the cash drawer.
PLAYING PROCEDURE
Every set, a coin toss determines which player serves first. All matches will be decided by one tiebreak set. Players must change ends on odd games.

SCORING
Please ensure the score sheet is completed in full at the end of the match and placed in the folder marked 'Singles Comp'. Each team will score points equal to the total sets won on the night, and points accumulate each week. In the case of a Forfeit, the forfeiting team receives zero points and the opposing team will receive 5 points. In the case of a Washout, points are averaged at the end of the season.
RESERVES
If you are not available to play, it is your responsibility to arrange for a reserve player and to advise John Owens of the name of the reserve player. A list of reserve players is attached. In the case of a forfeit, please advise the opposing team members. In the case of injury, players from other teams may substitute, but this must not interfere with their match.
WASHOUTS
In the case of rain, both teams have to agree that the match is washed out. No players are to leave the courts until the match has been called a 'Washout'. If you leave the courts before the agreement, your team will forfeit the match.
