2011 Christmas Party - 06 December 2011
We enjoyed the 2011 Christmas Party at the Red Berret Hotel, winners are grinners and sore losers spend time in the corners crying.
End of Season Events - 01 November 2010
Hi All, We are now into the last week of evening fixtures for 2010.
Next week the finals will be played between the top two teams in each division. There has been strong support for the bottom two teams in each division to play off for the wooden spoon. Corlea will notify you which teams are to play and on which night.
The club’s Christmas party is to be held at the Novatel Cairns on the evening of Saturday 4th of December.

Freshwater Tennis Tournament - 12 July 2010
The Freshwater Tennis Tournament was held over the past week and was definitely the best ever.
Many matches went to the third set tiebreaker. The tennis was fast and furious but all showed exemplary good sportsmanship, good humour and even generosity with some line calls!

Tennis Queensland and the Far North Regional Assembly were excited to announce that John Fitzgerald a true legend of Australian sport will be visited Cairns for the media launch of the Cairns Tennis International.
Davis Cup Coming to Cairns - 02 July 2010
Cairns will host Australia's bid to return to the world group of the Davis Cup in their qualifying tie against Belgium in September.
Tennis Australia on Friday announced the far north Queensland city had won the right to hold the play-off tie from September 17-19.
Lleyton Hewitt is expected to lead Australia's charge on the hardcourts of the $5.5 million Cairns Regional Tennis Centre, yet to be opened since a $2 million upgrade from the Queensland Government.
Annual Club Championship - 27 May 2010
The 2010 Club Championship will be running on the weekend of the 10th and 11th of July. The format for this year is a knockout and matches will consist of the best of 3 sets... don't be so worried... at 1 set all we will play a tiebreaker!
Annual Fixture Sign-up & Barbeque - 19 February 2010
Freshwater Tennis Club is having its annual club tennis fixture sign-on on day on Sunday 21st of February, players can enjoy free tennis and a barbecue* from 3pm.

Summer Singles Competition - 18 December 2009
Last night we had a test run of our Summer Singles Competiton. John, Corlea, Richard and Dave took part and had a great hit of tennis.

Tuesday Night Social - 08 December 2009
Fixtures may have finished for 2009 and Doug, Rich, Anne and Kim may have run off with the spoils but you can still play social tennis on a Tuesday night.

This year's Xmas party was held on the 20th November at the Hotel Cairns, around 70 happy club players and partners attended.
